
After Strong Weeks, Carr & Hill Collect BIG EAST Honors

NEW YORK, N.Y. – After a pair of outstanding weeks, Taylor Hill and Kelsey Carr earned spots on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced on Monday.
In a dominant offensive week for the Pirates, Hill was the shining star of The Hall's lineup. The senior outfielder hit .769/.813/1.308 with three runs scored, four doubles, one home run and seven RBI across five games. In the midweek doubleheader against Wagner, Hill knocked two doubles and drove in four RBI amid a day where the Pirates offense recorded a record-breaking 23-0 victory in the opening game. In Friday's series opener against Villanova, Hill's three-run home run secured a 3-2 victory for The Hall and secured Hill secured sole possession of the career runs scored program record. With three hits in Saturday's tilt against the Wildcats, Hill also became the fourth player in program history to surpass 200 career hits.
Off the back of strong performances in the circle and at the plate, Carr produced her best two-way week of the season. With two starts against Villanova this past week, Carr earned two complete game wins for a 2-0 record with a 1.98 ERA and 10 strikeouts. Those two wins powered the Pirates to their first regular season series win over Villanova since 2019. At the plate. Carr hit .385/.529/.923 with four runs scored, two home runs and four RBI.
The Pirates return to action on Wednesday, April 2, when the Army Black Knights travel to South Orange for a doubleheader. First pitch for the opening game is slated for 2 p.m.
