SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall men's soccer team plays its penultimate BIG EAST conference match of the season Saturday night when the Pirates visit Marquette. It's a critical match for both teams as they are seeking a berth into the BIG EAST Championship. First touch is at 8 p.m., Eastern.

PIRATES LOSE MIDWEEK TO ARMY WEST POINT
Camil Koreichi (Paris, France) scored his third goal of the season, but the Pirates gave up a 73rd minute goal and couldn't find another equalizer as Army West Point picked up a 2-1 win over The Hall at Owen T. Carroll Field this past Tuesday. Koreichi was assisted by Stephen Elias (Rye, N.Y.), who now has a team-leading 11 points. Tyler Mitchiner scored the game winning goal off a corner for the Black Knights.
SCOUTING MARQUETTE
The Golden Eagles are 7-7-1 overall and 3-4-0 in the BIG EAST this season. Josh Coan is the team's leading scorer with five goals and four assists for 14 points. Patrick Seagrist is the team's top faciliator with seven assists.
Seven of the team's 15 matches have been decided by one goal, but Marquette has also had four matches decided by three or more goals, including a 6-1 win over Green Bay.
Seton Hall is 5-6-3 all-time against Marquette on the pitch, but the Pirates have not won in Milwaukee since 2006. The Hall won last year's matchup at Owen T. Carroll Field, 2-0.
THE SCENARIO
The Pirates have seven BIG EAST points, which puts them two points behind Xavier, Creighton and Marquette for fifth, sixth and seventh place in the BIG EAST. Only the top six teams make the BIG EAST Championship. Mathematically, the Pirates can still earn a berth even if they lose Saturday night, but a victory over the Golden Eagles would allow them to surpass Marquette in the standings and either surpass Creighton, if the Bluejays lose to Butler, or surpass Xavier if the Musketeers lose to Providence.
QUICK KICKS
The Pirates will play their final regular season match of the season Wednesday against Villanova at Owen T. Carroll Field. The 6 p.m., match will be preceded by the program's Senior Night ceremony. The BIG EAST Digital Network will air Wednesday's contest.
