Milwaukee, Wis. - The Seton Hall men's soccer team earned three huge points in the BIG EAST standings after taking down Marquette 2-1 in overtime on Saturday night. The Pirates rode two goals from Carlton McKenzie (Birmingham, England) including the game winner in overtime to win on the road at Marquette for the first time since 2006.

Seton Hall was the first on the board when in the 21st minute McKenzie put home a cross from graduate student Sean Macleod (Troon, Scotland). For McKenzie, it was his fourth goal of the season and the second assist on the year for Macleod, but the duo was not done yet.

The Golden Eagles found their equalizer in the 71st minute when Josh Coan scored off a pass from Luka Prpa to even things up.

Turning Point
In just the third minute of overtime, McKenzie and Macleod hooked up again for the deciding goal. Macleod led McKenzie on a through ball which drew the Marquette keeper from his line. McKenzie evaded the diving attempt and found the back of the net for his second goal of the night to give the Pirates the victory.

Inside the Numbers

The two teams combined for 30 shots with half of them on net.
McKenzie's two goals were his fourth and fifth of the season, which now gives him the most on the team.
Macleod notched two assists to bump his total to three helpers on the year which is good for a first place tie with Stephen Elias for most on the team.
Junior Andreas Nota (Rome, Italy) made six saves on the evening, boosting his total to 71 saves on the season.
The Hall registered the only shot, Mckenzie's goal, in the short overtime period.
Eight Pirates played 90-plus minutes.

News & Notes
Seton Hall improved to 6-8-1 overall and 3-4-1 in conference play. This the first time in this matchup since 2014 that the road team has come out victorious. With 10 points, the Pirates are currently in the sixth and final spot in the race for a BIG EAST Championship berth.
