10/16/2026 7:08:00 PM | Men's Soccer
While the Pirates searched for answers offensively, Georgetown quickly leapt out to a 3-0 lead. Despite making changes in the second half, the Pirates could not manage to find a response, eventually falling 4-0.
With the loss, the Pirates move to 3-3-6 on the season and 1-1-2 in BIG EAST play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pirates found themselves quickly under pressure from a highly lauded Hoyas side. Â Amid defensive scrambling, Georgetown slipped a player behind The Hall's backline. After Devin Armstrong made a diving stop on the initial attempt, the keeper remained on the ground after colliding with the attacking player. The ball rebounded to a Hoyas attacker who put it to the back of the net to send the Pirates down 1-0.
Despite continued attempts to build offensive momentum, the Hoyas' stifling defense kept shutting down Seton Hall's attack. Those issues continued to stress the Pirates' defenders laterally and vertically as the clocked ticked down. Unfortunately, that stress led to defensive cracks and missteps, resulting in two more Georgetown goals and sending the Pirates to halftime down 3-0.
Out of the break, the Pirates' deficit grew after the Hoyas scored within the first two minutes of the whistle to make it a four-goal deficit. Despite making lineup changes as the half went on, Seton Hall could not find a response and fell 4-0.
