PIRATES DOWN CREIGHTON
Senior Carlton McKenzie's goal scored on a close-range header in the 32nd minute lifted the Pirates to a 1-0 victory over Creighton on Friday evening.Â
Â
In the 32nd minute, freshman James Boote collected a pass in the Pirates' attacking end and floated a perfect ball into the box that found McKenzie. McKenzie flipped the pass with his right foot to himself and headed the ball over the leaping keeper and into the goal.
Â
A stout defensive effort in the second half kept Creighton, who was picked to finish second in the BIG EAST in the preseason, off the scoreboard.
SCOUTING FORDHAM
Seton Hall is 16-12-2 all-time against Fordham, but the teams haven't met since 1992, a 4-1 Pirate victory. The Hall has won the last six matches in the series.
Â
The Rams enter Tuesday's contest with a 3-7-1 overall record. They have already played to other BIG EAST Conference teams early in the season.  Fordham fell to St. John's in an exhibition match, 1-0, on Aug. 15, and dropped a regular season match at Villanova, 1-0, in double-overtime back on Sept. 10.Â
Â
Fordham nearly knocked off No. 7 Clemson on Sept. 17, falling 3-2 in overtime on the road.
Â
Most recently, the Rams are coming off a 3-1 loss at Rhode Island on Saturday.

Seton Hall will return to BIG EAST Conference play on Friday, Oct. 11 when it travels to Washington, D.C. for a contest against Georgetown. The match will begin at 3:00 p.m. and will be shown on HoyaVision at GuHoyas.com.
