McKenzie's goal and Nota's clean sheet propel the Hall
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Senior Carlton McKenzie's goal scored on a close-range header in the 32nd minute lifted Seton Hall to a 1-0 victory over Creighton at Owen T. Carroll Field on Friday evening.
The Hall (4-4-0, 2-1-0 BIG EAST) has now won its last three matches, the program's longest win streak since rattling off three in a row between Sept. 4 and Sept. 10 in 2017.
In the 32nd minute, freshman James Boote collected a pass in the Pirates' attacking end and floated a perfect ball into the box that found McKenzie. McKenzie's flipped the pass with his right foot to himself and he headed the ball over the leaping keeper and into the goal.
A stout defensive effort in the second half kept Creighton, who was picked to finish second in the BIG EAST in the preseason, off the scoreboard.
Goal:
32nd – SHU – McKenzie (1)
Other Notes:
Seton Hall will return to action on Tuesday at 7 p.m. when the Pirates take on Fordham at Owen T. Carroll Field on the Pirate Sports Network.
