Pirates Drop League Tilt at Providence

PROVIDENCE - The Seton Hall men's soccer team suffered a 4-0 setback at Providence in a BIG EAST match at Ray Treacy Track & Field Complex on Saturday afternoon. The Pirates (0-11-1, 0-5-0 BIG EAST) fell to the Friars (6-5-1, 2-3-0) despite a 16-13 advantage in shots.
Mac Steeves netted two goals for the Friars before Julian Gressel and Manny Andrade added another pair in the second half. Danny Bartok (Union, N.J.) led The Hall with three total shots but the Pirates could not solve PC keepers Ben Seguljic and Colin Miller who combined for five saves.
Turning Point
After an even first 15 minutes in the second half, Providence extended a one-goal lead to 2-0 with Steeves' second goal of the game and league-leading 10th of the year off a direct free kick from 30 yards out.
