LAST TIME OUT
- The Pirates kicked off their season in Durham, North Carolina, taking on the Duke Blue Devils for the first time since 1988.
- Inside the first ten minutes, the Pirates held the early advantage after a fifth-minute free kick by Til Kauschke found the back of the net via a header by transfer Charlie Herley.
- After that point, however, the Blue Devils found a counter to The Hall's attack and began sending pressure the other way. Over the remaining 80 minutes, Duke scored two unanswered goals to defeat Seton Hall 2-1.
- Campbell finished 10-6-4 last season with a 4-2-2 record in CAA play. So far this season, they are 0-1-0 after falling 2-0 to Cal Baptist in their season opener.
- The Camels entered the 2026 season facing massive changes both on the coaching staff and the roster. After their head coach and top assistant were dismissed two months before the season, multiple all-conference players entered the transfer portal. By the time the season arrived, between graduation and transfers, Campbell had lost 94.6% of their minutes played from the 2025 season, the second most in all of college soccer.
- Heading into the season, the team was picked to finish fourth in the CAA South Division, ahead of only the William and Mary Tribe.
- This is the first time in program history these two teams have ever met.
- After earning both All-BIG EAST Second Team and United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Second Team honors in 2025, forward Mikkel Lejbowicz and midfielder Til Kauschke have collected multiple preseason honors. Lejbowicz was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team and the MAC Hermann Trophy Forwards to Watch list. Kauschke, meanwhile, made the Midfielders to Watch list, was named Preseason All-BIG EAST and was named the Preseason BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year.
