
Pirates Look to Close Regular Season With Senior Day Match Against Villanova

South Orange, N.J. - Seton Hall men's soccer looks to close out its regular season and BIG EAST play at home when Villanova visits Owen T. Carroll Field. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The game will be broadcast on the BIG EAST Digital Network via FloSports, which requires a subscription. A discounted subscription is available through this link.ÂThis will be the 41st all-time meeting between the two teams, the last two of which ended in victories for the Pirates.
SERIES HISTORY
- Seton Hall and Villanova last met on October 7, 2023, in a midseason matchup. The first half ended scoreless, but not with a lack of opportunities on both sides. The second half saw the Wildcats and Pirates exchange goals until the final minutes. Jared Smith, Agustin Resch both equalized the game with their goals, but in the 87th minute it was Andrea Borg's turn. After drawing a penalty, he converted the opportunity and secured a 3-3 draw for the Pirates.
- This will be the 41st all-time matchup between the two programs, the first of which came in 1984.
- Seton Hall is 22-16-2 all-time against Villanova with a 2-1-1 record in their last four matches.

Junior Sebastian Cutler DeJesus started 10 games for the Wildcats, but he appeared in 11 games. Over those 11 games, DeJesus has registered 53 saves and allowed 2.29 goals per game.
- The Wildcats have been outshot by their opponents 298-196 on the season.
PIRATES FALL IN FINAL NON-CONFERENCE MATCH AGAINST PRINCETON
- On Tuesday, the Pirates fell 5-2 against the Princeton Tigers in Princeton, N.J.
- The Pirates and Tigers exchanged early blows in the midfield, but Princeton proved to be too much as they scored four goals in the first half.
- After entering the game in the 69th minute, Nicolas Baala King Obama proceeded to score his first two career goals over the remaining time to get the Pirates on the board.
- This was the 34th all-time matchup between the two programs, the first of which came in 1986.
- Seton Hall is 13-16-5 all-time against Princeton.
