NEW YORK – Senior Sabrina Campbell (Groveland, Mass.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Campell delivered the game-winning goal as Seton Hall defeated Creighton, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon. Campbell scored after a long throw into the penalty area from Macie Mietz, which deflected off a Bluejay defender and fell to her feet. Campbell was able to settle the ball and flick it past the goalkeeper for her first goal of the season. The win puts Seton Hall in control of its own destiny in regards to earning a top-four seed, as a win over St. John's on Saturday puts the Pirates in the BIG EAST Tournament for the first time since 2011.
Kickoff of Seton Hall's regular season finale at St. John's is set for 7 PM in Queens.
