How it Happened
On the road against a talented Musketeer squad, it would be the Pirates who held the shot advantage after 45 minutes of play. Kaylin Mallon got the first look of the day in the attacking third, firing a shot wide in the third minute of action. Later in the half, Gianna Angelillo would get a pair of looks at net, including a shot on target in the 24^th minute which was snuffed out by Xavier goalkeeper Taylor Thomas.

The Musketeers would eventually break the ice in the 38^th minute, as a shot from McKinley Berry glanced off the crossbar and into the back of the net. The goal was the first conceded by the Pirates since the season opener against FDU back on Aug. 16. It also ended a record shutout streak for Seton Hall which lasted 736:52 of game action. The Musketeers would use the goal to put the clamps down on the match, outshooting the Pirates in the second half, 10-1, while adding a second goal.
