Queens, N.Y. – Seton Hall men's soccer dropped its road contest on Wednesday night to St. John's by a final score of 3-0. With the setback, the Pirates now sit at 7-4-3 (2-3-1) on the season.

How it Happened
The Red Storm got out of the gates quickly, scoring in the seventh minute to take an early 1-0 advantage. Later in the half, a goal from Nigel Griffith in the 25^th minute pushed the lead to 2-0 for the home side. The lone Pirate shot in the first half came from Virgil Dall'Agnol (Grenoble, France) in the 37^th minute, however his attempt went wide.

St. John's was able to extend its lead in the second half, as a goal from Nicolas Feuriau Chateau in the 59^th minute made it a 3-0 game.

The best chance of the night for the Pirates came in the 69^th minute, when a pass towards the edge of the box found Sam Bjork (Huskvarna, Sweden). Bjork evaded his defender and got himself one-on-one with the goaltender, however the junior's shot went too high.

News & Notes

James Boote (Southampton, England), Nico Rubio, Jared Smith (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Mark Walier (Holmdel, N.J.) each also recorded a shot on the night for Seton Hall in addition to Dall'Agnol and Bjork.
Walier made his fourth start of the season, logging 48 minutes on the night.
