How it Happened
- The Pirates got on the board first with a Jaden Tate (Las Vegas, Nev.) RBI double to go up 1-0 in the second.
- Hartford would get two runs in the fifth and one in the sixth to go up 3-1 heading into the seventh.
- The Pirates showed fight putting up five runs in the seventh. Lela Allen (Phoenix, Ariz.) picked up an RBI single before Baylee Allender (Rosharon, Texas) doubled in the tying run.
- Seton Hall wasn't done yet as a pinch-hit single from Ally Taylor (Mission Viejo, Calif.) scored the go-ahead run. The Pirates would end up adding two more runs in the inning to go up 6-3 after six and a half.
- The Hawks would score four in the seventh to take game one, 7-6.
- Hits were even at nine apiece.
- Seven different Pirates were able to get into the hit column with Hailey Arteaga (Upland, Calif.) picking up two doubles.
- The two doubles for Arteaga give her 42 in her career, good enough for third place all-time in Seton Hall history.
How it Happened
- The Hawks were on the board early with three runs in both the first and third innings.
- Hartford would add to its lead with one run in both the fourth and sixth to take game two.
- The Hawks picked up 15 hits in game two.
- Janae Barracato (Hempstead, N.Y.) picked up a pair of doubles, her fourth double of the season and 45th in her career.
- Ashly Colonnetta (Cypress, Texas) picked up a single for the Pirates, her first hit of the season.
The Pirates will return home to take on Hofstra on Wednesday at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
