
Pirates Host Hofstra for Midweek Matchup

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall softball team will host a midweek matchup with Hofstra on Wednesday at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m. against the Pride.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
The department will allow two parents or guardians of each Seton Hall student-athlete to attend an outdoor competition that is hosted on campus, including games at Owen T. Carroll Field for men's and women's soccer, Mike Sheppard Sr. Stadium for baseball and Mike Sheppard Sr. Field for softball.
Unfortunately, due to capacity limits, this policy does not apply towards parents or guardians of members of the opposing team or members of the general public.
LAST TIME OUT
The Pirates dropped a doubleheader last Saturday at Hartford. Janae Barracato (Hempstead, N.Y.) picked up three doubles at the plate between the two games. A five-run Pirate rally in the seventh inning of game one was thwarted by Hartford who scored four runs in its half of the seventh to take game one, 7-6.

WHAT'S AHEAD
The Pirates will travel to Omaha, Neb. for a weekend series at Creighton. The Hall will play two games on Friday before wrapping up the series with a single game on Saturday.

- In the circle, Madison Burns leads the team with a 3.35 ERA in 39.2 innings across nine appearances.
- The Pride lead the all-time series, 16-13 with the Pirates winning the last meeting, 4-1 back in 2019.
- With her three doubles on Saturday, Barracato now has five two-baggers on the year and 46 in her career. Two shy of tying the program's all-time mark set by Katie Pierce.
- Seven different Pirates were able to get into the hit column in game one on Saturday.
