
The Hall Hosts Georgetown, Senior Day Sunday

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall softball team (20-22, 6-7 BIG EAST) kicks off its final home weekend on Saturday when it welcomes Georgetown (12-31, 4-9 BIG EAST) to Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field for a crucial three-game league set. The action kicks off with a doubleheader on Saturday at 12 p.m. before concluding the series at noon on Sunday.
Prior to Sunday's contest the Pirates will hold their senior ceremony to honor their six-member senior class. The ceremony to acknowledge Chrisa Head, Destini Peck, Ragen Reddick, Emily Supercynski, Madison Strunk and Briana Wallace will begin at approximately 11:35 a.m.
The Hall enters the penultimate weekend of BIG EAST play in prime position to qualify for the conference tournament next month. The Pirates sit at fourth place in the league standings, with the top four in the final league table qualifying for the conference championship. The Hall is a half game up on fifth-place Providence and 1.5 games behind third-place Villanova, but hold crucial tiebreakers against both clubs. Georgetown enters the weekend still alive for the postseason, in seventh place and 2.5 games behind The Hall.

- In the circle, Reganne Camp (Bloomington, Ill.) and Madison Strunk (Adkins, Texas) have seen the bulk of action in recent weeks and hold 4.21 and 4.28 ERAs, respectively
- As a team, the Pirates are slashing .270/.350/.420 and rank among the national leaders with 71 doubles
- The Pirates are 17-10 all-time against Georgetown in a series dating back to 2008
- Last season the Hoyas took two of three from the Pirates in Washington, with the final two games each decided by one run

- Georgetown has seen four pitchers throw at least 47 innings this year, with Anna Brooks Pacha leading the way with a 5.74 ERA and 63 strikeouts in 64.2 innings
