
Pirates Head To Butler For Three-Game BIG EAST Set

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Seton Hall softball team (14-19, 0-3 BIG EAST)) hits the road for the first time in BIG EAST play this weekend when it travels to Indianapolis for a three-game series with Butler (9-16, 0-0 BIG EAST). The series will commence with a doubleheader on Friday, March 30 before a single-game series finale on Saturday, March 31.
The Pirates are coming off a 9-7 victory over Fairfield on Tuesday afternoon, using a season-high four home runs to rally from 3-0 and 7-4 deficits. The Bulldogs were last in action on March 18 in Tampa, picking up a win over Florida A&M. Weather conditions have canceled or postponed each of BU's last five scheduled contests.

The Pirates will have a week off before returning home for a BIG EAST series with Providence on April 7 and 8.

- The Hall is 5-7 all-time against Butler in a series dating back to the Bulldogs joining the BIG EAST for the 2014 campaign
- The Pirates are 3-3 over the course of the series in Indianapolis, winning a series there in 2015 before dropping two of three in 2016
- Jenna Foreman leads BU with a .395 average and is 20-for-22 on the basepaths this season
