
The Hall Readies For Home Opener On Tuesday

South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall softball team (13-15) will finally hit the friendly confines of Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field on Tuesday when it plays host to Central Connecticut State for a scheduled doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. The Pirates are back in South Orange after playing their first 28 games of the regular season away from home.
The Hall is coming off an extra innings win over Holy Cross on Sunday, its final game at the Fordham Softball Tournament in the Bronx. Janae Barracato (Hempstead, N.Y.) and Payton Beaver (Lake Stevens, Wash.) combined to drive in three runs in the top of the eighth inning to propel The Hall to a 7-4 victory. Central Connecticut also won its most recent outing, a 4-3 triumph over Yale on March 15.

What's Ahead
The Hall will kick off Big East play this weekend in South Orange against DePaul, playing a doubleheader on Saturday before a single-game series finale on Sunday.
