2/19/2017 11:53:00 AM | Softball
BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Seton Hall softball team (3-0) won its third-straight by way of the run-rule, taking down Holy Cross (1-4) by a score of 13-4 in six innings on Sunday morning. The contest was The Hall's final outing to cap a perfect run at the 2017 Runnin' Bulldog Tournament hosted by Gardner-Webb.
The Hall jumped out to a huge early lead, scoring a run in the first and pushing home five in the second inning on the way to an early 9-0 advantage. The Crusaders fought back with four runs in the bottom of the fourth, but The Hall answered with a four-spot of its own in the top of the sixth to put the run-rule back in play. In her third inning of work, Reganne Camp (Normal, Ill.) spun a clean bottom of the sixth to put the contest in the books.
