Hall Can't Rally Back in Defeat to Xavier

How it Happened
After a clean first inning from Seton Hall starter Jason Kuhn, the Pirates got out ahead to an early lead with a pair of runs in the bottom half. Gabe Cavazzoni led off the game with a walk, followed by a Shea Grady single to put early pressure on the Musketeers. Ryan Frontera kept the line moving, lacing a double to the wall in left field to score Cavazzoni with the game's first run. Frankie Scrivanic would bring home the second run with a sacrifice fly to left, giving Seton Hall an early 2-0 advantage.
Kuhn continued to cruise on the mound, not allowing a base hit until the fifth inning. However, that was when Xavier's offense began to turn a corner, bringing its first run across on an RBI single to cut the deficit in half. The Musketeers then took the lead in the sixth, bringing three runs across.
Xavier got a pair of much needed insurance runs in the top of the ninth to stretch its lead, 6-2. Seton Hall put runners aboard in the bottom of the ninth and scored once on an RBI groundout, but the Musketeers were able to avoid further damage.
