Three Pirates Post Multi-Hit Efforts in Setback to UConn

How it Happened
The Huskies would be the ones to open the scoring, as an RBI single in the top of the first gave the visitors an early lead. The Pirates would punch right back in the bottom half, putting a pair on the scoreboard to snatch the advantage. A single from Grady and a walk from Ryan Frontera put a pair of runners on base. After a groundout moved both into scoring position, Tomasetto lined a single into right field to bring both runners home and give the Pirates a 2-1 edge.
Seton Hall's lead would last until the third, when a grand slam from Chris Polemeni gave the Huskies a 5-2 edge. Two more insurance tallies would come home for UConn in the fourth on a sacrifice fly and an RBI single. The Pirates would make a little noise in the ninth thanks to three straight hits, the last of which was an RBI double down the right field line from Grady to cap his three-hit day.
Grady went 3-for-5 on the afternoon, while Tomasetto went 2-for-4 with those two RBI. Frankie Scrivanic also had a multi-hit effort, going 2-for-4 on the afternoon.
