
Three Pirates Named CSC Academic All-District

South Orange, N.J. – Three members of the Seton Hall baseball team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. The honorees from the Pirates are junior Gabe Cavazzoni, sophomore Stephen Curry and senior Ryan Reich.
In order to be recognized, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50. Position players must either compete in at least 90 percent or start in at least 66 percent of team games, while pitchers are required to make at least 17 appearances or pitch at least 35 innings.
Cavazzoni had a breakout year for The Hall, becoming an everyday player for the first time in his career. His 27 RBI led the team, while his seven triples led the BIG EAST and ranked fourth in the country. Cavazzoni is pursuing his degree in Finance and Information Technology Management and owns a 3.528 GPA.
Curry was once again a trustworthy bullpen arm for Rob Sheppard in 2026. The right-hander posted a 4.55 ERA across 21 appearances and 31.2 innings pitched for the Pirates during his sophomore campaign. Curry is a Graphic Design and Advertising Art major with a 3.835 GPA.
Reich concluded his Seton Hall career with another strong showing as a backend bullpen arm. He appeared in 21 games and worked 32.1 innings in 2026, striking out 36 batters and owning a 4.73 ERA. Reich reached the 200 career strikeout threshold on April 18 against Xavier. Reich earned his degree in Finance this spring with a 3.688 cumulative GPA.
