How it Happened
The Cardinals got to the Seton Hall pitching in the early going, plating seven runs in the second and third innings to stake an early advantage. The Pirates plated their run in the top of the third inning, as Jake Lopez opened the frame with a hit by pitch. Lopez advanced to scoring position later in the inning on a ground ball to shortstop, and was driven home on a one-out double from Nick Tomasetto.
On the day as a whole, Aidan Sengenberger and Ryan Strnad each recorded multi-hit performances. Gabe Cavazzoni and Aiden Dill also had base hits along with Tomasetto. Cavazzoni and Dill each pushed their on-base streaks to eight straight games along with Ryan Frontera and Joey Wilga.
