Pirates Host Monmouth to Open 2025 Season

South Orange, N.J. – The 2025 season begins for Seton Hall women's soccer on Thursday night as the Pirates host Monmouth at 6 p.m. at Owen T. Carroll Field. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

YEAR FOUR OF OSIT ERA

Head Coach Josh Osit enters his fourth season at the helm of the Seton Hall women's soccer program in 2025.
Seton Hall has posted its most points in a two-year span since 2007-08 and has placed players on the all-conference team in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2010-11.
In just his second season in 2023, Osit guided the Pirates to 10 points in conference matches, the most for the program since 2011.
Osit inherited a program that has posted just 12 points in BIG EAST play over the previous four seasons combined.

ANOTHER NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED SIGNING CLASS

Osit's signing class was ranked No. 29 in the nation by TopDrawerSoccer.com back in April, marking the second straight season in which the Pirates had a top-50 class from the publication.
The Pirates welcome in an exciting group of new talent in 2025, welcoming in 13 newcomers consisting of three transfers and 10 freshmen.
Gianna Angellilo transfers in from Louisville by way of Miami, playing a total of 27 matches over her first two seasons of collegiate soccer. Brianna Azevedo (Rutgers) and Shea Boyle (Boston College) also bring previous college experience to the team this season.
Of the 10 freshmen coming to South Orange, three were included in TopDrawerSoccer's rankings: Isabella Calabro (152^nd), Jordana Bello (153^rd) and Danni Hennessy (197^th).
