
The Hall Heads to Florida for THE Spring Games

Madeira Beach, Fla. – The Seton Hall Softball team will be playing in their first of two tournaments in Florida during its spring break trip when they take part in THE Spring Games. The Hall will take on the likes of South Alabama, Florida Atlantic, Sacred Heart, Middle Tennessee and Houston Baptist.
All games will be broadcast by FloSoftball.
LAST TIME OUT
The Pirates competed in the Chanticleer Showdown hosted by Coastal Carolina in Conway,S.C. The Hall picked up a win in the tournament finale, 4-3, over Iona. Jaden Tate (Las Vegas, Nev.) homered twice to lead the Pirates to victory.

The Pirates will stay in Florida for the Clearwater Spring Break Invitational starting on March 6.

- The Jaguars are coming off an 0-5 weekend in the Mardi Gras Classic.
- South Alabama is powered offensively by Katelyn Gruich who has four home runs and is hitting at a .326 clip.
- The Pirates dropped the only meeting all-time with the Jaguars back in 2013, 8-0.
- The Owls are coming off a 1-2 weekend at the FAU "Strikeout Cancer" Tournament.
- FAU is led offensively by Kaitlyn Burke at a .394 average and a team-leading eight RBIs.
- The all-time series is tied with three wins apiece. The last meeting came in 2012, a FAU 4-2 victory.
- The Pioneers got their first taste of action in the Pirate Classic Tournament where they finished the Virginia trip, 1-3.
- In the circle, Shayanne Fennell has a 2.19 ERA in 16 innings for SHU.
- The battle for SHU-premacy is split 5-5 all-time.
- The Blue Raiders are coming of a 2-3 trip in the Mardi Gras Mambo where they fell to the likes of Houston Baptist, 3-2.
- At the plate, Middle Tennessee has two players sitting over the .400 mark for batting average, Kaylee Richetto and Kelci Hill.
- Saturday's matchup will be the first between the two in program history.
- The Huskies ended the Mardi Gras Mambo at 2-3 with a win over Middle Tenness, 3-2.
- Houston Baptist's Lyndie Swanson is 2-0 with a 0.62 ERA on the season.
- Sunday's matchup will be the first between the two in program history.
