Pirates defense held the Hoyas scoreless through the first 65 minutes of the match
WASHINGTON, D.C. – A stout defensive effort through the first 65-plus minutes wasn't enough for Seton Hall to stop 14th-ranked Georgetown as the Hoyas defeated the Pirates, 4-0, on Sunday at Shaw Field.
Freshman goalkeeper Harpa Johannsdottir (Akureyri, Iceland) finished with five saves for the Pirates. Sophomore Lauren DiPietro (Stoney Creek, Ontario) and junior Emily Caza (Thornhill, Ontario) played all 90 minutes and held down the Seton Hall back line.

Seton Hall will return to action on Thursday when the Pirates host Providence for Senior Night at 5 p.m. The program will honor three seniors; Siobhan McGovern (Cranford, N.J.), Marissa Aniolowski (Enfield, Conn.) and Jackie Robinson (Matawan, N.J.).
