The Hall Hosts the Hoyas This Weekend

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall softball team (16-14-1, 3-3 BIG EAST) returns home to continue conference play over the weekend, hosting Georgetown (10-21, 3-3) for a three-game set at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field. The Pirates and Hoyas will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m. on the Pirate Sports Network before a series finale on Sunday, also at noon on the BIG EAST Digital Network and FOX Sports GO app.
In its last conference series, the Pirates took two of three from DePaul to win their first series over the Blue Demons in Chicago in program history. The Hoyas are also coming off a series victory, taking two of three from Providence last weekend. The Pirates are 14-7 all-time against the Hoyas, including a 5-1 record at home. Last season The Hall took two of three from GU in Washington, with each game in the series decided by one or two runs.

Following the league set, The Hall is back at home on Tuesday, April 11 for a non-conference match-up with Hofstra.

- Lauren Fischer (Robbinsville, N.J.) is batting .321 and has clubbed six home runs while leading the BIG EAST and ranking among the top-10 nationally with 29 walks drawn
- On the basepaths, Brianna Wallace (Fort Worth, Texas) is 12-for-14 stealing bases and Valerie Suto (Mercerville, N.J.) is 10-for-11
- In addition to her prowess at the plate Fischer is SHU's top arm in the circle, holding a 3.05 ERA in a team-high 55.0 innings
- Freshman Reganne Camp (Bloomington, Ill.) has tossed 47.2 innings during her rookie season and struck out 34 against 14 walks on the year
- The Hoyas enter the weekend with a 3-3 record in league play, tied with The Hall for third in the conference standings through two series
- Georgetown has struggled away from home, with a 1-10 record in true road games
