Pirates Head To Central Connecticut On Tuesday

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – The Seton Hall softball team (19-18-1) returns to action on Tuesday when it travels to the Nutmeg State for a midweek match-up at Central Connecticut State (10-20). First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m. at the CCSU Softball Field.
The Hall is coming off a tough trip to Omaha, dropping three in a conference series at Creighton. In its most recent action CCSU split a doubleheader at Manhattan on Sunday, a day after splitting a Northeast Conference doubleheader at Mount St. Mary's.

Following the trip to Connecticut, The Hall heads back to New England over the weekend for a three-game BIG EAST series at Providence.

- Also near the top of the conference leaders across the board offensively is senior Lauren Fischer (Robbinsville, N.J.) who is slashing .333/.500/.646 with nine homers and a league-best 34 walks
- After a big weekend at Creighton, Sara Foster (Long Beach, Calif.) raised her season average to .325 and currently slots in third in the BIG EAST with 11 doubles on the year
- The Hall is 54-of-64 (84.4 percent) on the basepaths this season, led by 13 steals from Brianna Wallace (Fort Worth, Texas) and a 12-for-13 effort from Valerie Suto (Mercerville, N.J.)
- In the circle, freshman Reganne Camp (Bloomington, Ill.) leads the squad with a 3.18 ERA and 53 strikeouts against 22 walks in 68.1 innings
- Central Connecticut hosts The Hall with a 10-20 record on the year including a 3-3 mark at home
- Brittany McNulla tops CCSU with a .316 average along with seven doubles and 23 RBIs
- Alexis Debrosse is the Blue Devils top power threat with four home runs, while Brittany Camara paces the squad with 11 stolen bases
- In the circle Emily Sargent has seen the bulk of action, holding a 4.07 ERA over 130.2 innings
