Pirates Fall in Weekend Finale to George Mason

Charleston, S.C. – The Seton Hall baseball team dropped its final game at the Swig & Swine Classic to George Mason, 11-4, on Sunday morning.
How it Happened
After George Mason struck first in the top half of the first, the Pirates were able to quickly respond in the bottom half. Aidan Dill singled to left with one out and promptly stole second to keep his hot weekend going. Nick Tomasetto, also in the midst of a strong stretch for Seton Hall, singled him home on a base hit to right field to tie the score at 1-1.
The Patriots would respond a few innings later in the fourth with a run to take a 2-1 lead, followed by three more tallies in the fifth to stretch the lead. The Pirates were able to manufacture a run in the sixth after a bunt single from Dill, who later came around to score after a steal and back-to-back groundouts.
George Mason picked up three more in the seventh, but the Pirates got two of those runs back in the bottom half. With Joey Wilga reaching on a hit by pitch and Shea Grady getting aboard via a fielder's choice, Jake Lopez doubled them both home on a ball down the right field line. The Patriots would keep the Pirate offense at bay afterwards to come away with the win.

How it Happened
