Seton Hall will open the 2025-26 season on Thursday, November 7 when it hosts local non-conference rival Saint Peter's. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.Â

Senior Jordana Codio (Winter Garden, Fla.) scored a game-high 25 points to lead a group of seven Pirates that tallied at least eight points as the Seton Hall women's basketball team defeated Jefferson, 92-42, in exhibition action on Thursday in Walsh Gym.
Â
Seton Hall used a 22-4 run in the first quarter to pull away, and never looked back. The Hall shot 45.9 percent from the floor for the game and forced 32 turnovers in its final tune-up of the preseason.

Codio was 10-for-12 from the floor and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line in an impressive debut.  Junior Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) finished with 12 points. Jada Eads (Orlando, Fla.), Ja'Kahla Craft (Elk River, Minn.) and Cam Rust (Wakefield, R.I.) each scored nine points, while Zahara Bishop (Minneapolis, Minn.) and Messiah Hunter (Hopewell, Va.) collected eight points.

AGAINST SAINT PETER'S
Seton Hall and Saint Peter's will meet for the 22nd time in history with the Pirates having won 18 of the prior 21 contests. The Hall has won nine straight games in the series, including a 73-39 throttling of the Peacocks in the last meeting to open the 2022 season. Saint Peter's last victory in the series came on Dec. 9, 2005.

SCOUTING SAINT PETER'S
Saint Peter's is coming off an 11-19 season a year ago, which included a 9-11 mark in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play. Their season came to an end following a defensive battle in the opening round of the MAAC Tournament when they lost 42-40 to Iona.

Fatmata Janneh was the only player in the MAAC to average a double-double and was named to the All-MAAC First Team for her efforts. She averaged 18.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per contest.

This year, the Peacocks were picked to finish 10th in the 13-team league according to the preseason coaches' poll. Although Janneh transferred to Texas A&M, Saint Peter's returns its next four highest scorers, Layla Laws, Laila Grant, De'Naya Rippey and Nikola Zdenkova.
