Clearwater, Fla. – The Seton Hall softball team swept its opening day in the Clearwater Spring Break Invitational with wins over UT Chattanooga and Army West Point.
GAME ONE
Seton Hall 1 – UT Chattanooga 0
Kelsey Gumm (Spokane, Wash.) held the Mocs' offense to three hits and no runs in a complete game shutout, her second of the season.

Seton Hall 13 – Army 2 (5)
The Pirate offense erupted as Reganne Camp (Bloomington, Ill.) kept the Black Knights at bay through five innings.

The Pirates will be back in action at the Clearwater Spring Break Invitational with games against Penn State and Florida A&M at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., respectively.

Kelsey Gumm (Spokane, Wash.) held the Mocs' offense to three hits and no runs in a complete game shutout, her second of the season.
How it Happened
- The Pirates scored the sole run of the ballgame on a Payton Beaver (Lake Stevens, Wash.) RBI single in the first inning.
- The complete game shutout was the second of Gumm's career after shutting out Sacred Heart last weekend.
- Beaver's RBI was her tenth on the season.
Seton Hall 13 – Army 2 (5)
The Pirate offense erupted as Reganne Camp (Bloomington, Ill.) kept the Black Knights at bay through five innings.
How it Happened
- Army struck first score a run in each of the first two innings to take an early 2-0 lead.
- The Pirates struck back in a big way as Baylee Allender (Rosharon, Texas) went deep for three runs to put the Pirates in the lead.
- The Hall exploded for 10 runs in the top half of the fifth. Beaver, Darby Pandolfo (Massapequa, N.Y.), Abby Wingo (Portland, Ore.), Kiana Tate (Las Vegas, Nev.), Jordan Tressler (Rocklin, Calif.), and Ally Taylor (Mission Viejo, Calif.) all brought in runs for the Pirates in the inning.
- Allender's homer was her sixth of the season, a team lead.
- Camp pitched five innings of three-hit ball only surrendering one earned run with five strikeouts.
- Pandolfo's RBI was her team-leading 14th of the season.
- Taylor's single and subsequent two RBIs were firsts for her collegiate career.
