
The Hall Hosts Fairfield On Tuesday Afternoon

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall softball team (13-19) caps a season-long five-game homestand on Tuesday afternoon when it plays host to Fairfield (7-15). First pitch from Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field is set for 4 p.m. on the Pirate Sports Network.Â
The Pirates opened BIG EAST play over the weekend, dropping three games to DePaul in South Orange. Janae Barracato (Hempstead, N.Y.) went deep twice for The Hall and hit safely in all three contests to earn her third BIG EAST weekly honor roll nod of the year. Fairfield most recently took the field on Sunday, picking up an 8-1 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson.

The Hall will hit the road for the first time in league play this weekend when it travels to Butler for a three-game set from March 30-31.Â

- In the circle Reganne Camp (Bloomington, Ill.) has a team-best 2.62 ERA in 74.2 innings pitched, while Madison Strunk (Adkins, Texas) checks in at 3.88 over 77.2 frames
- The Stags visit South Orange with a 7-15 overall record and a 3-9 mark in true road games
- The Hall is 6-3 all-time against Fairfield, with the last meeting coming in 1994
- Lacey Olaff leads Fairfield with a .293 average, while Courtney Hankins has team-highs with two home runs, 10 RBIs and 10 runs scored
- Destinee Pallotto is the Stags top hurler with a 3.45 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 65.0 innings
