The Hall Hosts Hofstra On Tuesday Afternoon

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall softball team (18-15-1) is back in action in the midweek when it hosts Hofstra (14-16) on Tuesday at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. with a limited production Pirate Sports Network broadcast available.
The Hall is coming off a series victory over Georgetown, including a 1-0 win in a rubber game on Sunday. Following the win Reganne Camp (Bloomington, Ill.) was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week for the first time in the frehsman's career and Lauren Fischer (Robbinsville, N.J.) earned a spot on the league's weekly honor roll. Hofstra most recently won a home conference series against Delaware, sweeping a Saturday doubleheader before falling on Sunday.
On Tuesday, both Seton Hall and Hofstra will wear gold laces as part of the Go4TheGoal Lace Up For Pediatric Cancer campaign. For more information and to contribute to the cause, click HERE.

- Alexis Walkden (Cibolo, Texas) leads a potent Pirate offense and is in the midst of one of the best statistical seasons in Seton Hall history
- Walkden leads the BIG EAST in doubles (14), home runs (10), runs scored (32), total bases (87) and slugging percentage (.821) while ranking top-five in average (.387), on-base percentage (.504) and RBIs (29)
- The Pirates are first in the conference in several offensive categories including slugging percentage and .497 and stolen bases with 1.50 per game
- The Hall currently ranks first in the nation with 2.03 doubles per game, led by 14 from Walkden and 10 from Darby Pandolfo (Massapequa, N.Y.)
- Destini Peck (Riverside, Calif.) ranks second on the Pirates in both average (.359) and RBIs (26)
- Also a potent offensive threat, Fischer is batting .341 with eight home runs and 23 RBIs while drawing 32 walks on the year to hold a .512 on-base percentage
- In the circle, Camp leads the squad with a 3.44 ERA followed closely behind by Fischer at 3.46
- Camp has posted a sterling 47:16 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 59.0 innings in her rookie season
- On the basepaths, Brianna Wallace (Fort Worth, Texas) and Valerie Suto (Mercerville, N.J.) lead The Hall with 13 and 11 stolen bases, respectively
- The Pride visit South Orange with a 14-16 overall record, sitting at 4-4 in the Colonial Athletic Association and holding a 5-6 mark in true road games
- Lacey Clark is Hofstra's top bat, checking in with a .322 average along with six doubles, four home runs and 17 RBIs
- Megan Patierno has slugged six home runs and driven in 20, both team-highs
- In the circle Sarah Cornell has seen the bulk of action, posting a 3.48 ERA with an 11-7 record over 110.2 innings
