TUCSON, ARIZ. – The Seton Hall baseball team is receiving votes in Collegiate Baseball newspaper's Fabulous 40 NCAA Division I preseason poll presented by Big League Chew bubble gum, which was released on Monday.
The preseason poll factors in voting by NCAA Division I coaches across the nation, how a team finished last season, returning position player starters and pitchers, potential draft picks along with the quality of its recruiting class that came to school last fall.
The Pirates are one of three BIG EAST Conference teams to be receiving votes in the annual preseason rankings, joining Creighton and St. John’s.
The University of Florida tops the poll. Seton Hall will open the 2015 season on Friday, Feb. 19 against Missouri in Ft. Myers, Fla. The Tigers are ranked 34th in the preseason poll.
