
Pirates Gear Up For Intra-State Rivarly Match Against Rutgers

South Orange, N.J. -Â The Seton Hall men's soccer looks to open the season 2-0-0 when Rutgers visits Owen T. Carroll Field, on Sunday, for the first time since 2009. Game time is scheduled for 8 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

- The Pirates claimed their season opener at home on Thursday 2-0 over the Lafayette Leopards in the first meeting between the two programs since 1961.
- Til Kauschke scored the opening goal and collected an assist on Mikkel Lejbowicz's goal. Thomas Sellwood also recorded an assist on that goal.
- Matias Molina logged his first clean sheet of the season, needing to record only one save in the process.

- After collecting All-BIG EAST Second Team honors last season in his first full season as a starter, senior Agustin Resch (Arata, Argentina) was named BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and was unanimously selected to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.
- Last year, in 1450 minutes played, Resch served as a central part of a Pirates' defense that ranked top 30 nationally in both goals allowed average (1.000) and shutout percentage (.444), earning the then-junior an All-BIG EAST Second Team selection at season's end.
