
The Hall Faces Lafayette Thursday in Whippany

WHIPPANY, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's soccer team returns to action on Thursday as they make their 2019 home debut, albeit not their regular home. With the final touches being made to the renovations at Owen T. Carroll Field, the Pirates will play their first "home" match at the Red Bulls Training Facility in Whippany, N.J. against Lafayette. The match is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start.

PIRATES DROP OT THRILLER
In the season opener on Sunday, the Pirates dropped a hard-fought overtime contest at Loyola, 2-1. Cassy Harrigan (Beaverton, Ore.) scored a first half goal, just 29 minutes into the game to give the Pirates an early lead, but the Greyhounds tied the score only 10 minutes later. The game was tied at one until Loyola tallied in the 96th minute.
AGAINST LAFAYETTE
This will be the first time that Seton Hall has faced Lafayette since edging the Leopards, 1-0, on Sept. 2, 2007 at Villanova University. The teams met up for exhibition games prior to the start of the 2016 and 2017 seasons, with the Pirates winning both.
