Softball Hosts Fall Ball Tailgate Sunday Afternoon

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - All of Seton Hall's fall teams will be competing on the road this weekend, but Pirate fans will still have a chance to catch action on campus as the Pirates' softball program hosts its Fall Ball Tailgate in conjunction with the Pirate Blue Athletic Fund on Sunday, Sept. 28.
The Hall will play a doubleheader at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field on Sunday, facing Saint Peter's University at 10 a.m., and Dominican College at 3 p.m. The tailgate barbecue will begin between SHU contests at 12:30 p.m.
Sunday's doubleheader also represents the Pirates' fall Alumni Day, with all Seton Hall softball alums in attendance receiving on-field recognition prior to the start of the second game of the day against Dominican College at 3 p.m.
Friends, family and alumni are invited to attend the event which will feature unlimited barbecue and beverages for those who sign up for Pirate Blue or pay $10. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP by contacting Josh Karp at Joshua.karp@shu.edu or calling 973-275-6446.
This marks the first of two fall invites the Pirates are hosting this season, as the squad will be back in action at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field on Sunday, Oct. 19, for contests against Central Connecticut State and LIU CW Post.
