Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.) fired an even-par, 72, in Monday’s second round of the 2013 BIG EAST Men’s Golf Championship. As a team, the Pirates are currently in 12
th place. Collectively, the Pirates were three shots better in round two with a 22-over-par, 310. Through two rounds, Seton Hall is 47-over-par with a 313-310-623. The Pirates currently trail the team leader, USF, by 46 strokes. Wilson shaved 10 strokes off his first round score and is currently tied for 44th among all individual golfers with a 10-over-par, 82-72-154. The 12-team BIG EAST field is competing on the acclaimed Tom Watson Course, a par-72, 7,257-yard signature design by Watson himself that’s highlighted by fast, firm and wide rolling fairways as well as a variety of strategically placed bunkers and large greens.
JT Harper (Pebble Beach, Calif.) is only one stroke behind Wilson. He improved one stroke in the second round and is currently 11-over-par with a 78-77-155.
Gary Dunne (Wicklow, Ireland) led the Pirates after round one, but fell to third on the Pirates’ roster following his second round 81. Through two rounds, he is 13-over-par with a 76-81-157.
Marc Kunesch (Newton, N.J.) had a strong first round, but struggled in round two. Currently, he is 17-over-par with a 77-84-161.
David Cha (Carrollton, Texas) rounds out the Pirates’ scoring and is 18-over-par with an 82-80-162.
