Schweitzer Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seton Hall sophomore pitcher Kim Schweitzer (Syracuse, N.Y.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after going 2-0 on the mound for the Pirates last week. It is her first weekly honor of the season.
Schweitzer picked up complete game victories over Saint Peter's and Iona, throwing a total of 14 innings without allowing an earned run. She struck out four and walked none in a 13-3 win over the Gaels a day after whiffing five in a 6-0 shutout of the Peahens. Schweitzer leads Seton Hall in every pitching category, including wins (13) and ERA (3.50).
Pittsburgh's Jess Dignon was named Player of the Week while DePaul's Becca Heteniak earned Pitcher of the Week honors.
Seton Hall returns to action this weekend with home doubleheaders against Louisville and South Florida.
