"The girls did well staying aggressive and looking for opportunities to move in." said Seton Hall head coach James Enzler. "I'm glad we were able to take care of business on our second day in Providence."
It was a very solid showing in doubles, winning all three matches and only one of them needing an extra game. Then in singles, Seton Hall was dominant, losing just one set. Kira Farrakhova, coming off being named BIG EAST Player of the Week, continued her recent solid showing, cruising past Flora Eidson in the No. 1 position, 6-0, 6-1. She's now won five of her last six decisions.
Niamh Campbell earned her first win in the No. 2 position, defeating Allison Root, 6-3, 2-6, 1-0(7).Â
Jaden Davidson returned from injury to defeat Sophie Ahlberg in the No. 3 spot, 6-2, 6-3, her third spring win and 13th win overall.
The bottom half of the lineup rolled past the Friars as Isabelle May beat Gabriella Plonowski at No. 4, 6-2, 6-1, Rachel Benoualid defeated Erika Beltran at No. 5, 6-0, 6-1, and Anastasia Sereda dispatched Audrey Magnusen at No. 6, 6-1, 6-2.
Seton Hall will travel west for spring break next weekend, beginning with a match against UC Riverside in Riverside, Calif., on Monday, March 2.
