PROMOTION
It's Legends Night and the Pirates will honor their newest "Legend", Dana Wynne. Instituted in 2024-25, the Pirates Legends Series was created to re-introduce Seton Hall fans to the basketball legends who helped shape Seton Hall into the great basketball school it is today.

LAST GAME
For a second straight game, the Seton Hall women's basketball team's offense fell cold in the fourth quarter and the Pirates fell on a last-second layup by Columbia, 54-53, in Walsh Gym on Tuesday.

Leading by one with 8.7 seconds left in the game and four fouls to give, the Pirates inexplicably did not foul, and Columbia's Perri Page wheeled out of a double team and scored a on a layup with 0.7 seconds left to give the Tigers the improbable victory.

The Pirates were just 2-for-16 from the field in the fourth quarter, putting them at 4-for-30 over the last two fourth quarters when including the NC State game on Sunday. Seton Hall suffered its third loss in four games over the last eight days.

Junior Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) had a team-high 16 points to go with five rebounds and five steals. Sophomore Jada Eads (Orlando, Fla.) had 15 points, nine rebounds and her first career block. Both Mariana Valenzuela (Mazatlan, Mexico) and Jordana Codio (Winter Garden, Fla.) pulled down 10 rebounds apiece.

AGAINST AUBURN
Seton Hall and Auburn will meet for only the second time in history on Sunday. The Tigers routed The Hall in their only prior meeting, an 85-51 victory at the Junkanoo Jam in Freeport, Bahamas on Nov. 27, 2010. This will be the first time Auburn has visited the Pirates.

SCOUTING AUBURN
Auburn is coming off a 12-18 final record in 2024-25, which includes a 3-13 mark in Southeastern Conference (SEC) play. The Tigers' season came to an end with a 10-point loss to Florida in the opening round of the SEC Tournament.

This season, head coach Larry Vickers' first at Auburn, the Tigers were picked to finish 15th in the 16-team SEC according to its Preseason Coaches' Poll. Auburn returns just two players from last year's team, redshirt junior guard Kaitlyn Duhon and sophomore forward Syriah Daniels. Duhon played in eight games last season, averaging 7.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.1 steals.  She suffered an injury on Nov. 30 vs. Kansas and did not play again. Daniels played in 28 games last year, starting six, and averaged 3.6 points and 1.5 rebounds.

Auburn enters Sunday's contest with an impressive 8-2 record, but has lost its last two games. The Tigers fell to Oregon by five points on Nov. 30, and most recently, lost in overtime at Syracuse on Dec. 3. Of local interest, Auburn defeated Rutgers in Alabama by five points on Nov. 20. Three players are currently averaging in double-figures in scoring, led by Harissoum Coulibaly's 11.4 points per contest.
