SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Junior Ja'Kahla Craft (Elk River, Minn.) recorded her first career double-double as the Seton Hall women's basketball team won a foul-plagued, physical affair, 74-56, over Indiana State in Walsh Gymnasium on Friday.
Seton Hall closed out the first half with a game-changing 17-3 run, which turned a one-point deficit into a 13-point lead at the break. The teams combined for 47 fouls, including 18 in the second quarter alone. The Pirates took advantage, going 24-for-28 from the free-throw line.
Craft was tremendous on Friday, narrowly matching her career-high with 25 points on 8-for-12 shooting, including 4-for-6 from three-point range. She also matched her career-high with 11 rebounds to lead all players.
Senior Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) added 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and eight fouls drawn, in a very typical game for the First Team All-BIG EAST player.
