
Pirates Open BIG EAST Play At Home Against Villanova

South Orange, N.J. -- The Seton Hall women's soccer team will be back in action at Owen T. Carroll Field for the BIG EAST opener as the Pirates take on the Villanova Wildcats on Sunday, September 22 at 1 p.m.
It is Alumnae Day as the Pirates will be honoring the 30th season of women's soccer at Seton Hall with players from that team being honored. Also, students who attend the game will receive a free soccer scarf while supplies last. The giveaway will start at 12:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the Pirate Sports Network via FloSports.Â
LOSS VS YALE
- The Pirates lost their last matchup against Yale, 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
- The Pirates fall to 3-5-1 on the season.
- The Pirates had an 11-6 advantage on shots in the second half.
- Natalie Tavana (Middletown, Conn.) had a game-high six shots and three shots on goal for the Pirates.
SCOUTING VILLANOVA
- The Wildcats are 3-4-1 on the season.

- Freshman Madison Shumate leads the Wildcats with three goals and seven points.
