Moen Picks Up Singles Victory, Pirates Fall to DePaul

New Providence, N.J. - Freshman Arabella Moen won her 13th singles match of the season and eighth of the spring, but the Seton Hall women's tennis team dropped a BIG EAST home match to DePaul, 6-1, Friday afternoon at Murray Hill Tennis & Fitness.

Moving back up to No. 3 singles, Moen did a great job against her opponent Lenka Antonijevic, winning 6-3, 6-4. She is now 3-2 in matches at No. 3 this spring.

The Pirates almost picked up another win as junior Arina Gumerova was in a back-and-forth battle at No. 1 against Yuliya Kizelbasheva. The two split the first two sets to set up a tiebreaker, where Kizelbasheva barely pulled it out, 14-12.

Seton Hall will host Marquette Saturday afternoon at Murray Hill Tennis & Fitness at 4:30 p.m.
