
Moen Wins Third Singles Match in a Row, Pirates Fall to Marquette

New Providence, N.J. - Freshman Arabella Moen won her 14th singles match of the season and her third straight, but the Seton Hall women's tennis team could not pull past Marquette in BIG EAST action, losing to the Golden Eagles, 6-1, Saturday afternoon at Murray Hill Tennis & Fitness.
Moen, who won picked up a win on Tuesday at No. 4 singles and won Friday afternoon at No. 3, stuck at No. 3 for a second straight day and delivered a 6-4, 7-5 win over Andie Weise. She is now 14-12 on the year, 9-9 in the spring and 4-2 in the No. 3 slot of the lineup.
Sophomore Emily O'Donovan came the closest to victory among the other Pirates. She forced a third set against Sarah Badawi, but ultimately did not win.
The Pirates will conclude the regular season Tuesday against St. Francis Brooklyn. The match will take place at the Campus Courts in Ivy Hill Park, adjacent to Owen T. Carroll Field, and it will begin at 2 p.m.
