THE GAMES
Seton Hall heads on the road for the first time during the 2021-22 season and will play a pair of games at the Cancun Challenge in Mexico for Thanksgiving. The Pirates will face USC on Thursday, Nov. 25, and then will take on Toledo the following day, Friday, Nov. 26. Both contests will tip at 4:00 p.m. ET.Â

LAST GAME
Graduate Andra Espinoza-Hunter (Ossining, N.Y.) collected team-highs of 22 points and 10 rebounds and junior Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) added 20 points as the Pirates defeated Lehigh, 87-77, in Walsh Gym on Nov. 16.

Trailing after one quarter, the Pirates began the second on an 8-0 run and never trailed again, outscoring Lehigh 33-to-16 in the game-defining quarter.

Espinoza-Hunter recorded her second career double-double with 22 points on the strength of four made three-pointers to go with 10 points and two assists. Park-Lane had 20 points and a season-high seven assists. All five of Seton Hall's starters finished in double figures in scoring. In addition to Espinoza-Hunter and Park-Lane, Sidney Cooks (Kenosha, Wis.) had 14 points, Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio) had 13 points and Katie Armstrong (Collegeville, Pa.) had 10 points.

SCOUTING USC
USC is coming off an 11-12 season during the pandemic-abbreviated 2020-21 season. The Trojans went 8-10 in PAC-12 play and saw their season come to an end with a quarterfinal loss to Stanford in the conference tournament. Endyia Rogers was named to the All-Conference Team, while teammates Alissa Pili and Jordan Sanders were Honorable Mentions.

This season, the Trojans are predicted to place ninth in the 12-team PAC-12 according to the league's preseason coaches poll. Pili returns, and was named to the Preseason All-Conference Team. She was also named to the Naismith Trophy and Wooden Award Watch Lists.

USC enters the Cancun Challenge with a 3-1 record. The Trojans opened the season with victories over Hawaii, Virginia and Western Michigan, but are coming off their first loss of the season on Saturday. USC fell at home to Missouri State, 67-41. Jordan Sanders led the team with 11 points. Through four games, she leads the team in scoring with 13.0 points per contest.

SCOUTING TOLEDO
Toledo is coming off a 12-12 season during the pandemic-abbreviated 2020-21 season. The Rockets did not qualify for the postseason, but finished the season with a pair of victories over Eastern and Western Michigan. Quinesha Lockett was named to the All-MAC Third Team and averaged 19.6 points per game for the season.

This season, the Rockets are predicted to place eighth in the 12-team Mid-America Conference according to the league's preseason coaches poll. Lockett returns, and was named to the Preseason All-MAC Second Team.Â

Toledo enters the Cancun Challenge with a 2-1 record. The Rockets opened the season with a victory at Oakland, followed by a convincing win over Wright State on Nov. 13. Most recently, Toledo lost at Dayton, 69-60, on Wednesday, Nov. 17. Lockett currently leads the team with 22.7 points per game and is 11-for-25 from three-point range.

Seton Hall will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 1 when it hosts local non-conference rival Iona at historic Walsh Gymnasium. Tip time is scheduled for Noon. The contest will be available to subscribers on FloSports.
