
Ramachandran, Tait Fuel Pirates To Fourth Place

PRINCETON, N.J. – Freshman Deven Ramachandran (San Rafael, Calif.) fired a career-best 3-under-par, 68, in the final round of 2019 Princeton Invitational and the Seton Hall men's golf team surged up the leader board to a fourth place finish.
Ramachandran had a team-high six birdies on Sunday to move up the individual leader board and finish in an 11th place tie. In all, he recorded his second career sub-par tournament with a 3-under-par, 71-71-68-210.
As a team, the Pirates saved their top team round for Sunday. The Hall shaved six strokes off their second round score, settling with a 5-under-par, 279. They were able to hop three teams in the final standings, including BIG EAST rival Georgetown. For the tournament, the Pirates finished 2-under-par with a 286-285-279-850. Yale won the team title going away at 23-under-par. The Hoyas finished four strokes behind Seton Hall at 2-over-par.
One of the players tied with Ramachandran for 11th place overall was teammate Gregor Tait (Martlesham Heath, England). The sophomore shot an even-par, 71, in round three, and finished the three-round event with a 3-under-par, 68-71-71-210. It's Tait's second straight sub-par tournament and the third of his career. He was also 3-under-par last week at the Redhawk Invitational in Seattle.
Both Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) and Andres Acevedo (San Antonio, Texas) shot a 1-under-par, 70, in round three. Nagai was 2-under-par through 12 holes without a blemish, while Acevedo turned it on late, shooting 4-under-par over his last 12 holes. Both Pirates tied for 26th overall at 3-over-par. Nagai was two strokes better each day, 74-72-70-216, while Acevedo had a 75-71-70-216.
Chris Yeom (Flushing, N.Y.) also had a strong finish to his final round. The senior was 2-under-par on the back nine and finished the round with a 2-over-par, 73. For the tournament, he tied for 34th place with a 5-over-par, 73-72-73-218.
Competing as an individual, Peter Tyler Po (Nasipit Cebu City, Philippines) shot a 9-over-par, 80, in the final round. For the tournament, he finished 20-over-par with a 78-75-80-233.

Dating back to 1895, Springdale Golf Club is one of the oldest in New Jersey. Designed by Gerard Lambert and revised by William Flynn in 1926, the walkable course requires precision shot-making and has superior conditions and playability. The property, which was originally private farmland, was purchased by the Class of 1886 and gifted to Princeton University with the expectation of establishing one of the first courses in the region. The private club has a close relationship with the University, and counts many university professors, administrators and students among its members. With a fine and experienced PGA staff, the club hosts numerous tournaments, collegiate matches, clinics and golf outings every year.

In addition to Seton Hall and host Princeton, the field included 11 other schools: Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Georgetown, Harvard, Loyola (Md.), Penn, Rider, Saint Joseph's, Temple and Yale.
Tee Times:
The field will play 36 continuous holes on Saturday and one final round on Sunday. Play begins with a tee times starting at 7:45 am on Saturday, and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday. The Hall will be paired with golfers from Princeton and Yale on Saturday.
