
Early Strike Not Enough, Pirates Fall at Creighton

South Orange, N.J. – Sophomore Alyssa Reszkowski (Freehold, N.J.) gave the Pirates a lead in the fourth minute on Sunday, but the Seton Hall women's soccer team could not keep pace with Creighton, falling 2-1 in a BIG EAST Conference match Morrison Stadium.
Turning Point
The Pirates (2-8-1, 0-5-0 BIG EAST) took the lead at 3:48 when Reszkowski chipped a shot over the Creighton (4-8-0, 2-3-0 BIG EAST) keeper after a feed from junior Marissa Aniolowski (Enfield, Conn.).
However, the Bluejays responded with an equalizer in the 24th minute before taking a 2-1 lead in the 37th minute. The Pirates finished with an 11-2 shot advantage in the second half, but could not even the score.
