
Pirates Fall to St. John’s on Senior Night

South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's soccer team celebrated eight seniors on Saturday night, but was upended 2-0 by BIG EAST rival St. John's at Owen T. Carroll Field.
Prior to the game, Seton Hall celebrated seniors Taylor Cutcliff (Springfield, Pa.), Lauren Dao (Collegeville, Pa.), Sophia Duffy (Freehold, N.J), Lauren Garcia (Westport, Conn.), Eva Gonzalez (Mesquite, Texas), Anna MacLean (Thunder Bay, Ontario), Emily Rimdzius (Cherry Hill, N.J.), Julia Stirpe (Berkeley Heights, N.J.).
Turning Point
The Pirates (2-9-4, 0-6-0 BIG EAST) battled St. John's (7-7-1, 3-2-1 BIG EAST) to a scoreless draw at the break, out-shooting the Red Storm, 4-3.
However, just 24 seconds into the second half, Zsani Kajan launched a ball into the upper left side of the net after a well-timed pass in the box from Christina Bellero. In the 64th minute, Kajan scored her 11th goal of the season to make it 2-0.
