
The Hall Returns To Walsh To Host Xavier

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. -- The Seton Hall women's basketball team (13-9, 5-6 BIG EAST) looks to make moves in the conference standings this weekend when it returns home for a pair of contests inside historic Walsh Gymnasium. First up is Xavier (9-13, 2-9 BIG EAST) on Friday night at 7 p.m. The contest will air on the BIG EAST Digital Network with David Gass and Kim Adams on the call.Â
Friday night is Club Sports Appreciation Night at Walsh Gym. Student admission is FREE and tickets for the general public are available for as low as $5.Â

- The Pirates fell behind 24-4 after a rough first quarter, but responded emphatically with a 25-4 run to open the second frame and briefly jump ahead before going to the half down by a point
- The Hall had its back against the wall again down six with less than two minutes to play, but closed regulation on a 6-0 run to force overtime
- In the extra frame, CU out-scored SHU 17-0 to pick up the win
- JaQuan Jackson led The Hall with 21 points in the contest, while Inja Butina went for 16 and 10 assists
- Shadeen Samuels was the third Pirate in double-figures with 14 points
