10/8/2017 4:37:00 PM | Women's Soccer
South Orange, N.J. – Junior Julia Stirpe (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) converted a penalty kick in the 87th minute on Sunday afternoon to earn the Seton Hall women's soccer team a 1-1 draw against visiting Creighton in a BIG EAST Conference match held at Owen T. Carroll Field.
The Pirates (0-8-5, 0-2-3 BIG EAST) controlled possession for the majority of the afternoon, and limited Creighton (2-9-3, 0-3-2 BIG EAST) to just three shots on goal.
Turning Point
The Bluejays scored in the 33rd minute, and threatened to make it a two-goal lead 50 minutes later on a strike from Callie Hawkins, but Seton Hall junior goalkeeper Laura Dramis (Farmingdale, N.Y.) made an incredible diving save moving from the center of the goal to her right.
With momentum on its side, The Hall switched the field and delivered consistent offensive pressure until Stirpe ultimately drew a foul in the box and converted the kick for the equalizer.
Goals
57:59 – Creighton – Jaylin Bosak (2) finished her own rebound in the left side of box, shot into top of goal
86:43 – Seton Hall – Julia Stirpe (2) penalty kick
